Olisa Corcoran is an artist based in Durham, North Carolina. She is a third-generation ‘Nuyorican’ (member of the Puerto Rican diaspora from New York City). Working primarily with embroidery and painting, her art focuses on self-portraiture, women and texture.

From the small town of Stamford in England, but currently living in Hawke’s Bay in New Zealand, Georgia Wigmore has a bit of an adventurous side to her. After working in events for five years in the United Kingdom, she decided to quit her job and explore the world. With an interest in sustainable development, on her travels she has joined NGOs in Borneo and Guatemala to take part in international development projects.

I started stitching as an outlet for my need to create and a mostly questionable sense of humour with loud opinions. It’s turned into a wonderful hobby that generates a lot of personalised presents and uneasy stares at craft fairs. I was raised by a single mother who taught me to speak up for what I believe, stand up for myself and others, and to be my own person first. I am lucky to have three amazing sisters who have given me four spitfire nieces. I want to leave them a better world, one where their gender does not define their opportunities.

Meredith Butz is an illustrator and fibre artist from California currently based in Seattle, Washington. Her body of work includes embroidery, knitting, sewing, watercolour, crochet, and linoleum-block printing. She has participated in several artist fairs and group shows and has had her work featured by Planned Parenthood and Bitch Media.
